The Port of New Bedford
As cruise ships approach the Port of New Bedford, passengers enjoy breathtaking views of Buzzards Bay, the southern approaches to the Cape Cod Canal, and the city's beaches. On the way into the inner harbor, cruise ships pass through the Hurricane Barrier, the largest stone structure in the eastern United States. Cruise ships berth in the heart of a dynamic working waterfront amid commercial fishing vessels and docks busy with workers repairing and outfitting vessels. In addition to fishing vessels, visitors may see ocean-going freighters, high-speed passenger ferries, tugboats, barges, sailboats, powerboats, or whaleboats in the harbor.

The terminal is open seven days a week from approximately 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. (Monday through Wednesday) and 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. (Thursday through Sunday). |
