The City of New Bedford Office of Tourism and Marketing promotes the
city's historical destinations, cultural attractions and events in partnership
with those organizations and New Bedford Whaling National Historical Park. The
office also operates the Waterfront Visitor Center, at the city's historic
Wharfinger Building, once the port's fish
auction house for New Bedford's famed commercial fishing fleet. The Waterfront
Visitor Center is located on Fisherman's Wharf (old City Pier #3) in the heart
of New Bedford's working waterfront.
