New Bedford Parks Recreation & Beaches Now Accepting Applications for Kennedy Summer Day Program
New Bedford, Massachusetts- Applications are now available for parents to register their children to participate in the New Bedford Parks Recreation and Beaches Kennedy Summer Day Program. During the summer months, the Kennedy Summer Day Program engages children in a variety of sports, games, crafts, environmental education, and other outdoor fun while making new friends. Activities include beach and swim time as well as special visitor programming from places like the New Bedford Art Mobile, the Buzzards Bay Coalition, and many more.
The Kennedy Summer Day Program operates out of beautiful Fort Taber Park and includes breakfast, lunch and transportation. The program is open to children who are eligible for kindergarten in September of 2017 through the age of fourteen. For New Bedford residents, each 2-week session is $190. Scholarships are available for those who qualify. If space allows, non-residents may register for $225 per session.

- Session 3 July 31—August 11
- Session 4 August 14—August 25
Space is limited, so parents are encouraged to complete and submit an application as soon as possible. Registration packets are available at the Administrative Offices of Parks, Recreation, and Beaches located at 181 Hillman Street in Building 3,at the Andrea McCoy Recreation Center located at 181 Hillman Street or at www.newbedford-ma.gov/parks-recreation-beaches.
