FILE
OF LIFE
The
"File of Life" contains necessary medical data including
medications, allergies and other vitally important information
required before life-saving treatment can begin. The home
version of the "File of Life" is magnetically attached
to the home refrigerator providing high visibility and instant
access for the emergency personnel. This allows them to begin
treatment within seconds. The personal size "File of
Life" conveniently fits into a wallet or purse and provides
the same life-saving information outside of the home.
FLU
IMMUNIZATION CLINICS
Held
for Seniors at several city sites in the fall as soon as vaccine
is available.

Ways
to protect against the spread of flu:
- Wash hands frequently
- Get plenty of rest
- Eat Well
- Drink plenty of water
- Use tissues when you sneeze or turn from sneezing at someone
- If you do not feel well, stay home and help prevent the
spread of germs.
IMMIGRATION
ASSISTANCE
Access
to local immigrant assistance department for information and
referral regarding citizenship, food and clothing, deportation
services, etc.
SENIOR
CLUB COORDINATOR
Our
senior club coordinator keeps records of all senior club officers,
arranges speakers for clubs, takes reservations for summer
bus trips, escort trips if needed, and other Council on Aging
duties as assigned.

IMPAIRED SUPPORT GROUP
Meets
the 3rd Monday of the month (except for January and February)
10:00 am at the Hazelwood Senior Center, 543 Brock Ave.,
New Bedford, MA 02744. Chairman: Gerard Arsenault
The
group provides an opportunity to meet with people who are
facing the same challenges. Guest speakers, Annual Christmas
Party, and Annual July cookout.

REGISTRATION
Available
to homebound seniors who are unable to physically register
