The Medical Van can be used for transportation to medical appointments by any Senior (59 and over) or any disabled non-Senior who cannot take a bus or taxi because of the need for a bit of help. (It is not necessary for seniors to be disabled). The van is wheelchair equipped, drivers are not permitted to lift patients, or carry them down stairs. We are a curb to curb service.

Medical Transportation Is available 8:30a.m. - 3:00p.m. Monday - Friday 991-6271
Fee : $5.00 round trip

Please schedule your medical van appointments between 8:45 AM - 3:00 PM
(early pickups are available in case of emergencies, please call the Council on Aging for further information).

The Personal Van can be used for transportation by any Senior (59 years of age or older) or any disabled non-Seniors who cannot take the bus or taxi because of the need for a bit of help. (It is not necessary for seniors to be disabled). The van is wheelchair-equipped, but drivers are not permitted to lift passengers, or carry them down stairs.

FEE Schedule: $3.00 per errand round trip

Personal Transportation is available: 8:30 AM - 1:30 PM Wednesday

The Shopping Van provides transportation to residents 59 years of age or older, and to disabled non-Seniors in need of shopping assistance. This service is available 2 days a week; Monday and Tuesday. We service the following housing units:

Bedford Towers

Boa Vista

Car Barn Apts.

Caroline Apts.

Harborview Towers

Hillside Court

King Village

Mechanics Sq. Bldg.

Melville Towers

N.B. Hotel Apts.

Olympia Towers

Regency Apts.

Taber Mill Apts.

The following is the schedule for the shopping van:

K-Mart or Walmart in Fairhaven	Every Tues.	11:30 am - 1 1/2 hrs to shop
Christmas Tree Shop, Dartmouth Mall or Walmart, No. Dart.	Twice a month on Mondays	11:30 am - 1 1/2 hrs to shop
Grocery Shopping	Mon. - Tues.	1 hour to shop

Please note: There is a $2.00 fee, round trip, which is used to defray operating costs.
