Bulky Waste

Bulky waste includes couches, mattresses and wooden furniture. ABC Disposal will collect one (1) bulky item per stop as part of the normal solid waste collection. For apartment dwellers, this means that one item is allowed each week for the entire building. No appointment is required.

Bulky items can also be dropped off at the Shawmut Avenue Transfer Station (1103 Shawmut Avenue), Monday through Friday from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm. Four items will be accepted free of charge within a six-month time period. If you bring more than four items, there will be a fee.

Special Collection

Special collection items require an appointment and include televisions, computer monitors, white goods (washer, dryer, stove, refrigerator, etc), air conditioners and any metal items.
