Applications Available for Nonprofits Seeking to Waive Greens Fees for Tournaments at Whaling City Golf Course

NEW BEDFORDThe City’s Parks, Recreation & Beaches Department has released the 2025 application to waive the green fees for the Whaling City Golf Course for the upcoming season.

Nonprofit organizations seeking to hold a golf tournament at the course and are interested in applying to waive greens fees must complete and submit the application by March 11. Organizations are encouraged to apply with the stipulation that tournaments held on weekdays (if selected) will not require any food obligations to the Whaling City Golf Course. Weekend tournaments (if selected) will require a food concession agreement.

In addition to completing the application, all applicants will be required to describe the organization’s mission, impact on the community and how the proceeds from the tournament will be used.

Applications will be reviewed at the March 19 Board of Park Commissioners’ monthly meeting.
