HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS WASTE DROP-OFF DAYS
Household Hazardous Waste Drop-Off Day is on September 21, 2024, 8:30 a.m. – noon at the Crapo Hill Landfill. Take exit 7 off Route 140 and enter the New Bedford Business Park. Follow the lawn signs to the event. Sign up is required.

Traffic flows in one direction at this event; the only way to enter is through the New Bedford Business Park.

Requirements:
Proof of residency is required
Latex paint is not accepted (dry it out and throw away in regular trash)
Maximum amount allowed is 25 gallons or 25 pounds
New Bedford, Dartmouth, and Freetown residents only

| Household cleaners | NO Fluorescent light bulbs and mercury containing devices (take to Transfer Station or participating retailers) |
| Lighter fluid | NO Infectious & biological waste |
| Oil-based paint | NO Latex paint (dry out & discard in trash) |
| Photographic chemicals | NO Motor oil (take to Transfer Station or participating motor oil retailers) |
| Poisons, insecticides & pesticides | NO Propane tanks (take empty tanks to Transfer Station) |
| Roofing tar | NO Radioactive waste (smoke detectors) |
| Septic tank degreasers | NO TVs or computer monitors (take to Transfer Station) |
