NEW BEDFORD FREE PUBLIC

Wedding Photography Policy

Introduction

The most significant priority of the New Bedford Free Public Library is to provide library services to the community, as described in the library’s mission statement. The photography described below is allowed only to the extent that it does not interfere with the provision of library services and is consistent with the library’s mission, statement and rules.

Special Event Photographs

Once-in-a-lifetime events such as engagements, weddings, or graduations deserve equally exceptional photographs. The New Bedford Free Public Library’s Main Library is the heart of downtown New Bedford and provides a variety of spectacular settings for your special photos:

Photography sessions may be scheduled during regular library hours of 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday. All sessions must be completed by 4:45 p.m.

Exclusive reservations are neither provided nor implied. Multiple groups may be taking photos in the library at the same time.  Thank you for your patience.

At no time will library staff be asked to move furniture or alter floor plan to accommodate a photo session.

Please be respectful of all library patrons and all bridal parties and photographers must adhere to the Statement of Rules & Regulations Policy.

Your donation of $50 (or more) helps the New Bedford Free Public Library continue to be the place where everyone can dream, create and grow. Donations can be made to the New Bedford Free Public Library Donations Account with a memo note of Wedding Photos.  Thank you.
