Mayor Jon Mitchell to deliver annual State of the City address virtually

New Bedford, Massachusetts– On Thursday, August 6, 2020, at 1:00 p.m., Mayor Jon Mitchell will deliver the annual State of the City address virtually via Facebook Live. The address, hosted by the One Southcoast Chamber, was scheduled for a luncheon event in March at New Bedford High School, but was postponed due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

Residents, the public and members of the media are invited to watch via Facebook Live on Thursday, August 6 at 1:00 p.m. The address will be broadcast at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday via the Facebook pages of One Southcoast Chamber, the City of New Bedford, and New Bedford Cable Network.
