New Bedford Featured This Week on NESN and Spike TV

Bar RescueNew Bedford, Massachusetts – Two major television networks are scheduled to air shows this week featuring New Bedford, Massachusetts. The City will be highlighted in an episode of two television series airing on New England Sports Network (NESN) and Spike TV. NESN is viewed in all six New England states and is available nationally through satellite providers. Spike TV is seen in over 99 million homes nationwide. Mayor Jon Mitchell said, “It is great for New Bedford to get this type of national attention. New Bedford, Massachusetts – The City played host to the first annual Greater New Bedford 3-on-3 Summer Basketball Classic on Saturday, August 10, 2013. Several hundred on-lookers lined Pleasant Street in Downtown New Bedford to cheer on the sixteen teams that competed within the tournament’s five age divisions. NB Business Buzz: Crush Fine Wine

 

CrushIf you are exploring the historic district in downtown New Bedford, be sure to visit Crush Fine Wine located at 801 Purchase Street. Crush is a boutique wine shop featuring specialty wines and craft beers from around the world.

Crush Fine Wine is a relatively new business in the New Bedford area. It was opened up by Yogesh Labhsetwar less than one year ago in December of 2012.

Since its opening, Crush has become a great addition to the downtown business district. It offers wonderful services to customers including weekly complimentary tastings, as well as private and corporate tastings. Kristian Vasilev, Crush’s resident Sommelier is also available to provide personalized services such as food pairing suggestions, wine consulting, and cellar management tips.

Crush is open Monday through Saturday from 10am to 8pm and Sunday from 12pm to 4pm.
