The New Bedford Health Department issues a variety of permits and licenses, as well as immunization, and marine lab testing services for residents and businesses.   The list of available permits, licenses, and services and their fee schedule is provided below.

Permit and license applications can be obtained at the New Bedford Health Department located at the Quest Center Building, 1213 Purchase Street, First Floor, New Bedford, MA 02740.  After completing the application, it may be mailed or hand-delivered to the Health Department.  Fees may be paid by check or cash and should be paid at the time the application is submitted. Immunization and disease prevention services can be obtained by visiting the Public Health Nursing Clinic located at the Health Department. The clinic’s regular hours are Mondays and Fridays from 1:00PM to 3:30PM and by appointment.

NEW BEDFORD BOARD OF HEALTH

Pursuant to M.G.L. c. 111 § 31 and all other Massachusetts enabling statutes authorizing Boards of Health to set fees for licenses, permits and services, the New Bedford Board at their  regularly scheduled meeting on March 15, 2016 voted unanimously to amend its fee schedule and hereby endorses and promulgates the following fee structure effective March 15, 2016.

Process to collect the stated fee schedule in back of correction orders for property owners who have not corrected violations during allotted time frame.

We would request that we bill the owner or lien the property. This would be used for non compliant or repeat offenders.
