The Public Health Nursing Division offers CPR and First Aid classes.

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers: This course is designed for healthcare professionals who need to know how to perform CPR, as well as other lifesaving skills, in a wide variety of in-hospital and out-of-hospital settings
    • Ideal for:   Nurses, Dental Hygienists, lifeguards, etc.
    •  Fee:   $65
    •  Course Duration:   Approximately 4 hours
    •  Certification valid for:   2 years
  • Heartsaver CPR/AED and First Aid: This course is for anyone with limited or no medical training who needs a course completion card in CPR, AED, First Aid and Anti-choking to meet job, permit, regulatory or other requirements.  First Aid course must be taken online and the certificate brought to class (directions provided upon class registration).
    • Ideal for: those who need to meet job, permit, regulatory or other requirements
    • Fee: $50
    • Course Duration: 3 hours
    • Certification valid for: 2 years
  • Family and Friends CPR: This course is for anyone that wants to learn CPR, but does not need a completion card for their work.
    • Ideal for: students, new parents, grandparents, babysitters
    • Fee: $25
    • Course Duration: 1.5 hours

 

  • First Aid: This course is for anyone with limited or no medical training who needs a course completion card in first aid, CPR and AED use to meet job, regulatory or other requirements.
    • Ideal for: those who need course completion card in first aid, CPR and AED
    • Fee: $20
    • Course Duration: 2 hours
    • Certification valid for: 2 years
