Applications Available for Nonprofits Seeking to Waive Greens Fees for Tournaments at Whaling City Golf Course

NEW BEDFORD – The City’s Parks, Recreation & Beaches Department has released the 2024 application to waive green fees at the Whaling City Golf Course for the upcoming season.

Nonprofit organizations seeking to host a golf tournament at the course and are interested in applying to waive greens fees must complete and submit an application by April 12. Organizations are encouraged to apply with the stipulation that tournaments held on weekdays (if selected) will not require any food obligations to the Whaling City Golf Course. Weekend tournaments (if selected) will require a food concession agreement.

In addition to completing the application, all applicants are required to describe the organization’s mission, impact on the community, and how the proceeds from the tournament will be used.

Applications will be reviewed at the April 17 Board of Park Commissioners monthly meeting.
