Built in New Bedford in 1841, the Charles W. Morgan is the last wooden whaleship in the world. Over an 80-year whaling career, the Morgan embarked on 37 voyages, sailing with a crew from around the globe. Its historic Homecoming to New Bedford will be nothing short of spectacular with nine days of concerts, programs, regattas, whaleboat races and parades, a whaling history symposium, public ceremonies and much more!The Charles W. Morgan will dock at State Pier and will open to the public Saturday, June 28, 1pm – 5pm and Sunday, June 29, – Sunday, July 6, from 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Events taking place all around New Bedford! $5 suggested admission.
