Note to Bidders
***In light of the Covid-19 pandemic, the City of New Bedford’s Purchasing Department offers the following guidance on process change for submitting a proposal or bid during this time:
All proposals/bids must be submitted to 309 Smith St, New Bedford, MA 02740 only. The open hours to accept delivery is between 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. Packages must be delivered to above address via receipt-acknowledged delivery service, certified mail that must be signed for, or in person drop-off. Please mark the exterior of all submitted proposals in the manner directed within the bid documents. City Hall and other City facilities are currently closed to the public.
All incoming mail- delivered or dropped off- is to be quarantined for a period of at least 48 hours to eliminate the possibility of viral transmission. As such, proposals will be due on a certain day but will not be opened until at least 48 hours afterwards. The Purchasing Department will post instructions for streaming IFB openings live on this page at least 15 minutes prior to the bid opening.
To facilitate the bid opening process during this time, all bidders are requested to also email firstname.lastname@example.org to confirm that they have submitted a proposal.***
It is the responsibility of the vendor/contractor to check this website for addenda. The City of New Bedford accepts no liability to provide accommodation to those who submit a response based upon information obtained from any source other than this website. Bidders may not alter (manually or electronically) the bid language or bid documents. Unauthorized modifications to the bid, specifications, terms or conditions are prohibited and any associated submittal will be rejected.
