Note to Bidders
***In light of the Covid-19 pandemic, the City of New Bedford’s Purchasing Department offers the following guidance on process change for submitting a proposal or bid during this time:
All proposals/bids must be addressed to Purchasing Department, 133 William Street, Room 208, New Bedford, MA 02740 only. For in-person delivery prior to the bid opening date, bids must be dropped off in the white city mailbox located in front of City Hall’s Sixth Street entrance. On the date of the opening, bids delivered in-person must be delivered inside City Hall to the Purchasing Department, Room 208, between 9:00 am and the bid due date. Please mark the exterior of all submitted proposals in the manner directed within the bid documents.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the Purchasing Department is open to the public by appointment only. As such, bid openings will be live streamed via Zoom, and the Purchasing Department will post instructions for streaming IFB openings live on this page at least 15 minutes prior to the bid opening.
To facilitate the bid opening process during this time, all bidders are requested to also email firstname.lastname@example.org to confirm that they have submitted a proposal.***
It is the responsibility of the vendor/contractor to check this website for addenda. The City of New Bedford accepts no liability to provide accommodation to those who submit a response based upon information obtained from any source other than this website. Bidders may not alter (manually or electronically) the bid language or bid documents. Unauthorized modifications to the bid, specifications, terms or conditions are prohibited and any associated submittal will be rejected.
